Gama Sennin

The sculpture depicts a man with a long white beard and hair, wearing a short loincloth with a leaf pattern. He is barefoot and has his right hand down by his side, palm facing inwards. His left hand covers the mouth of a frog-like creature behind him. The sculpture is made of a light-colored material, possibly ivory or wood, with darker shading to indicate depth and texture. The background is a plain gray color. The title of the piece is "Gama Sennin" and it is attributed to the artist Shūzan.
