The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Cylindrical vase with a wide mouth and narrow base. The vase is carved to resemble a tree trunk with vertical lines. Multiple birds are carved into the vase, some flying, some perched on branches or pecking at the trunk. Leaves and branches are also carved into the vase. The entire piece is monochromatic.
