The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Teabowl by Bernard Leach. Dark-colored ceramic bowl with a rough, uneven exterior surface and a smooth, rounded interior. The bowl has a wide mouth and a small foot at the base. The exterior surface is primarily dark gray with patches of lighter gray and some darker spots, possibly from the firing process or glaze. The shape is asymmetrical, with some parts of the bowl appearing more rounded than others. The background of the image is light grey.
