Dish with Sacred Jewels, Pine, Bamboo, and Plum

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Round, flat dish with a wide mouth and a small foot. The dish is decorated with a white base color. The interior features a design of two clusters of three blue, concentric, overlapping, tiered shapes resembling jewels. The clusters are positioned on either side of the center. Between and around the clusters are blue and green plant-like motifs on a background of small, rounded, pink and white spots. The exterior of the dish is not visible. The background of the image is dark gray at the top, gradually lightening to light gray at the bottom. The dish casts a shadow on the surface below it. The dish is titled "Dish with Sacred Jewels, Pine, Bamboo, and Plum" by artist Suzuki Goro.
