The Yan Family Temple Stele by Yan Zhenqing is a large, rectangular stone inscription. The stele is mounted on a wall and framed by a clear protective cover. It has a predominantly brown and gray color scheme. The surface of the stele is densely covered with rows of Chinese characters. The characters are carved into the stone and appear to be in a formal script. The stele's surface shows some darker spots and discoloration. A small white plaque with black text is affixed to the wall to the right of the stele. The wall surrounding the stele is beige.
