Buddhist Vestment (Kesa)
Buddhist Vestment (Kesa) by unknown artist. Rectangular fabric with a light gray background, predominantly decorated with a repeating floral pattern featuring leaves, flowers, and birds in shades of blue, yellow, red, green and white. The fabric is composed of multiple rectangular sections sewn together in a patchwork style. There are six red square patches with a floral pattern. The patches are positioned symmetrically on the fabric, two in each of the top and bottom sections and one on each side near the corners. The fabric presents a complex and intricate texture due to the various patterns and the piecing together of different sections.
