Piece of Bedcloth Fabric (Futon)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Black fabric with a repeating pattern of white and light gray designs. The designs are arranged in rows of three. Each design consists of a white cross-like shape with a circle in the center and a light gray floral pattern to one side. The floral pattern consists of a stem with two leaves and 2-3 flowers. The fabric has a rough, uneven edge and appears to be a piece of bedcloth fabric, specifically a futon. The image is in black and white.
