The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Square piece of fabric with a repeating design. The background of the fabric is a light greenish-gray color. The design features a symmetrical pattern with four large motifs, one in each corner of the fabric. Each motif is a flower-like shape with curved lines and petals. The motifs are outlined in dark blue and filled with shades of gold, blue, and white. In the center of the fabric, there is a cross-like shape formed by four dark blue rectangles, each with a small white circle in the center. The cross is intersected by a square in the middle with a flower-like design in dark blue and gold. The fabric appears to be old and worn, with some areas of discoloration and fraying around the edges.
