Birth of the Buddha
The stone sculpture depicts the Birth of the Buddha. A crowned, female figure stands center, wearing a dhoti and jewelry. She holds a branch above her head with her right hand and an object near her hip with her left. The figure appears pregnant. Three smaller figures are carved on either side. The sculpture features intricate carvings throughout, on the figures and on the decorative arch. The figure and carvings are gray with hints of brown. The background gradient is darker at the top and lighter at the bottom. The sculpture sits on a white surface.
