Book of Designs (Tsuchinoto shinsen Komon chō) by Unidentified artist. The image shows an open book with two pages. The pages are yellowed and aged with visible signs of wear. There are four large, vertically oriented, rounded-top panels on the pages. The left page contains two panels side by side. The right page contains two larger panels side by side. The left panel on the left page is dark gray with a textured pattern at the bottom. The right panel on the left page has a dark gray top section with a woven pattern and a bottom section with thin, vertical, white lines. The left panel on the right page contains three small squares in a column. The top and bottom squares are dark gray with different textures. The middle square is medium gray with a dense, woven pattern. The right panel on the right page has a dark gray top section and a bottom section with a light gray woven pattern. There are small, black symbols scattered around the edges of the pages. The background behind the book is solid black.
