Piece from a Kosode with Incomplete Floral Pattern

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Rectangular piece of fabric with a repeating pattern. The background of the fabric is dark blue. The pattern consists of small, light-colored diamond shapes arranged in a grid. The diamonds are filled with a lighter color and have a small dot in the center. The diamonds are arranged in diagonal rows. Some areas of the pattern are incomplete. The fabric appears to be a fragment, with a rough edge on the left side.
