Leaf from a Kalpa Sutra (Jain Book of Rituals)

A long, narrow, rectangular piece of aged paper with rough, uneven edges. The paper is off-white with darker areas of discoloration. Three vertical red lines run down the length of the paper, one on the left edge, one in the center, and one on the right edge. Three red circles, one beside the left line, one beside the center line, and one beside the right line. The majority of the paper is filled with rows of black writing in a non-Latin script. Some of the writing appears in red. The background behind the paper is plain and beige.
