Wedding dress

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The wedding dress is off-white and made of a lightweight fabric, possibly silk or cotton. The dress has long, puffy sleeves that are gathered at the cap and have a slight bell shape. The sleeves are made of a slightly heavier fabric than the rest of the dress and have a textured pattern. The bodice is fitted with a high neckline and a thin waistband. The skirt falls in soft folds to the floor, with a textured pattern throughout. The dress appears to be made by Jean Patou.
