Wedding gloves

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Pale yellowish-white gloves made of thin material, possibly silk or cotton. The gloves are long and cover the forearm. The left glove has three parallel black strips on the back of the hand. The right glove has two black buttons on the cuff. The gloves are displayed on a gray background, with the palms facing down. The right glove is on top of the left glove, with the fingers of the right glove folded over the back of the left glove. The gloves are likely wedding gloves.
