The artwork "Fob" by artist James McNeill Whistler is a decorative piece featuring long, thin strips of fabric with red stripes on a cream background, folded in half lengthwise and hanging from a small metal ring. The fabric strips have a braided edge and are joined at the bottom by a brown oval object with a short protrusion. Two tassels hang from either side, each made of thin threads in shades of red, brown, and cream, wrapped in a decorative braid at the top. The background of the image is a plain off-white color.
