Antonio Da Mula, c. 1460-after 1539, Duke of Candia 1536 [obverse]
This is a circular object featuring a sculpted relief of the side profile of a person from the shoulders up. The person faces towards the left and wears a plain shirt. They are bald on the top of their head, with curls of hair appearing on the side and back of their head. Their face appears wrinkled, especially around their mouth and cheeks. Encircling the person, there is text inscribed around the edge of the medallion. The material has a brown, aged surface and subtle hints of green patina in some areas.
