Work and Writing Table (table en chiffonnière)

Bernard Vanrisamburgh II

National Gallery of Art

This is an ornate wooden side table. The table has slightly curved legs and a lower shelf for storage or display. The edges are trimmed with decorative silvery metallic elements. A small keyhole is visible at the front of the table. The legs appear to be darker wood, while the front and sides of the table are more red-toned wood. The top of the table has a floral design that uses multiple shades of wood.
