A woman stands angled to and looking off to the left in this vertical, full-length drawing, which was created with brown and white ink and shaded with washes of the same color on smoky purple-colored paper. The woman has a heart-shaped face with a short, rounded nose, full lips, and a bulb-shaped chin. Her head is covered with a white cloth that drapes to chin length at the sides and falls down her back. The square neckline of her bodice is low, but her chest is covered with a white cloth. The voluminous sleeves are lined with wide, long bands of fur along the cuffs, and she holds her hands clasped in front of her waist. A beaded rosary hangs from her waist, and the deep folds of her heavy skirts fall almost to the floor. The artist signed the drawing near the upper right corner with a capital letter D tucked between the long legs of a letter A. The monogram is below the date, 1521.
