She looks at him through almost-closed eyes. They both have pale skin and curled gray hair, although hers is longer, cascading down her back. She is wearing a pale blue dress with a wide neck, puffed sleeves, and a bright pink skirt, accentuated with a blue ribbon tied around her waist. The man is wearing a light blue coat over a high-collared white shirt, with fitted, knee-length blue breeches and stockings. They are in a room with muted brown drapery hanging on the right over what looks like a bed with the blanket and ruffled sheets partially off. To the side, in front of the bed, there is a plush red chair with a black hat and cloak or jacket draped over it. On the left there is a white door behind the two people that is slightly ajar.
