This horizontal image shows three long rows of prints stacked on top of one another, with wide spaces of off-white paper between them. The prints contain scenes depicting various agricultural and domestic activities emblematic of an agrarian lifestyle. In the upper strip, people are depicted engaging in tasks such as transporting goods with a horse-drawn carriage, getting water from a well, cooking a meal, and eating together. The center strip features people laboring in fields, lighting fires, and playing music. The lower strip contains scenes of people working in gardens and planting bare fields. Next to each strip is a different section of text and a numbered illustration of an animal; on the top strip these are on the right side, while on the bottom two strips they are on the left side.
