This painting depicts a sofa with an ornate wooden frame and floral-patterned upholstery, with the floral designs in yellowish-green against a pale red background. In the top left, there is colored swatch of the floral pattern. On the top right is a sketch of the top of the wooden frame, which features a carved floral design. There is a similar sketch at the bottom of the page, showcasing a different part of the frame. The complete drawing of the sofa is central in the composition, surrounded by a thin gray border and with some notes about scale at the bottom. The background is off-white paper.
