This is a painting of a rustic doorway with decorative motifs. The artwork depicts an old wooden door set into a stucco or stone wall. The door is made up of vertical wooden planks that show signs of aging and weathering. Above the door is an arched, ornately decorated border. Near the top, there are two stylized, reddish-orange depictions of deer, one on each side of the arch. The floor in front of the door is covered with red tiles. This is in the style of Geoffrey Holt, as indicated by the signature at the bottom right of the painting. The artist uses a blend of delicate watercolor techniques and fine line work to bring an earthy charm to the scene.
