Parterre Claremont

Helen Miller

National Gallery of Art

The image features a central, elongated oval shape filled with a complex network of swirling, organic lines and shapes. Surrounding this central design are parallel lines and mirrored objects, such as two small house-like shapes at the top, and light post-like figures positioned on either side of the oval. The lower left corner features a white archway and gate, while the name "Parterre Claremont 1855" is in the lower right corner.
