This is a painting of a crucifixion scene. The painting depicts a central figure on a cross, flanked by figures on either side, set against a rich gilded background with a star pattern around the border. The central figure is draped in a blue cloth around the waist and is suspended with arms outstretched. The figures on either side appear to be in various states of mourning or reverence, some dressed in robes, with two armored figures present as well. Below, two kneeling figures hold a scroll with inscriptions. The use of blue and gold colors, as well as the intricate pattern, lends the work a sense of opulence and solemnity. This is in the style of medieval manuscript illumination.
