This painting features a large, cream-colored cow with brown patches standing in a pastoral setting, facing the left. The cow has short horns above its pink ears, as well as brown hooves, a brown nose, and a round black eye. It seems to be standing on a hill, and behind it is a wooden fence and a wide field of green grass that slopes downward into the distance. On the left there are some dark green trees, and the sky is pale blue-gray.
