This painting displays two people standing, surrounded by greenery. The male figure on the left has curly, short brown hair and a fair complexion. He is turned to the right, facing the woman next to him, and his left hand is bent and pointing upwards. His other hand appears to reach for a branch near his waist. The female figure on the right has long, straight, light brown hair and a very pale complexion. She is holding an apple in her right hand, which appears to have a bite taken out of it. Both people are naked, with small leafy branches covering their groin areas. The background shows a dense forest filled with fruit-bearing trees, with a serpent coiled around one of the branches above the woman's head, looking down at her. There is also a distant deer partially visible behind the trees between the couple.
