The sculpture is a rectangular relief depicting several figures in a dramatic scene. The main subjects are classical figures dressed in ancient armor with detailed helmets and tunics. There are five figures in total. Two are prominent, wearing helmets and skirts typical of Roman soldiers; a winged figure with a flowing cloth appears to be running; and two other figures are engaged in movement. The material of the sculpture appears to be bronze metal, creating a warm, golden-brown color with highlighted areas. The relief creates depth through detailing and varying levels of flatness. The panel is bordered by lines and columns on each side, adding to the austerity typical of classical art styles.
