The sculpture is a bas-relief profile of a male figure. He is shown in profile, facing to the left, wearing a headdress resembling a traditional ducal hat. Crafted from bronze, it has a rich brown color and a patina. The medallion is bordered with text identifying the subject as "ANT. GRIMANVS DVX VENETIAR." The relief features detailed depictions of facial features and clothing textures, with a small hole at the top.
