The sculpture depicts a profile portrait of a bearded man with detailed facial features and hairstyle. The man is dressed in ornate clothing with a high collar. The round sculpture has an engraved border, and is made of metal with a weathered patina in shades of bronze and green. The edge of the medallion has evenly spaced rounded protrusions. An inscription encircling the profile reads "FRANC ESTIEN MARCH M".
