The sculpture is a medal featuring the profile of a woman facing right. The subject has an elaborate hairstyle, curly hair partly covered by a draped cloth or veil cascading over her shoulders. She is dressed in textured attire. The sculpture is in a reddish-brown bronze medium, with a warm metallic sheen. The border of the medal is inscribed with "HIERONYMA FARNESIA D. S. VITALI" and decorative beading. The surface shows wear and aged bronze patina.
