The sculpture is a circular medallion featuring the side profile of a man with a beard and mustache. He is depicted wearing a textured garment with a high ruff collar. The material appears to be bronze, with intricate details of his features, hair, and clothing. The edge is bordered with rounded bead-like designs. There is an engraved inscription: "IACQVES BOICEAV SR DE LA BARRA VIDERE" and a smaller inscription at the bottom reading "DVPNR F 1644."
