Dead Christ Supported by Two Angels

Probably Venetian 16th Century

National Gallery of Art

The image shows three figures in an oval frame. The central figure is partially nude with a cloth around the lower body, eyes closed and head tilted. Two winged figures, likely angels, are on either side. One angel supports the central figure, and the other faces forward. All figures wear long robes and have halos. The background is dark without any other objects or visible jewelry.
