This painting shows a watermelon with a thin slice taken out of it. The fruit is oval-shaped, resting on one side, and the thin slice is in front of the almost-whole watermelon, positioned slightly to the left. Its rind is in shades of dark and light green, with a thick white line separating the rind from the flesh. The inner flesh is pink, dotted with small black seeds. The background is solid black.
