A person is seated on the left, near us, possibly resting against a textured stone wall. Another figure is standing further down the path, draped in a cloak. The arches are detailed with brushstrokes to convey age and texture. The scene is monochrome, using shades of brown for depth and shadow. Light and shadow highlight the architectural details and set a mysterious tone.
