The drawing depicts a woman from the shoulders up, in profile facing right. She has delicate facial features, including a nose and chin. She has curly hair tied with a ribbon bow, and wears a lace-edged cap. She wears a dress with a ruffled neckline and floral patterns on the shoulder. There is a band around her neck. The background is simply textured with cross-hatching, bordered by a wide black decorative frame.
