The image features a detailed illustration with several historical figures in portrait form, set within a decorative frame. In the center, the full page is framed around a title that reads "The Lawes & Acts of Parliament Made by King James the (I) and his Royal Successors Kings of Scotland Extracted and Collected from the Publick Records." Surrounding this title are eight portraits within individual oval frames. Each portrait captures only the upper torso and head of the depicted individuals. The portraits depict figures with various styles of hats or crowns, period-appropriate clothing such as tunics, cloaks, and elaborate collars.
