Three Sketches of a Standing Woman

John Flaxman

National Gallery of Art

The image shows three full-body sketches of a person in different poses. The left figure appears light and holds a tray with one hand while the other hand rests by the side, with the head tilted downwards. In the center, the outline is more distinct, displaying a person in profile with hands in pockets and long straight hair. The figure on the right is seen from behind with similar long hair and arms positioned with a slight bend at the elbows. All figures wear ankle-length dresses. The background is plain and serves as a surface for the sketches.
