Credulity Preparing to Nurse the Mother of Hope [fol. 18 verso]

French early 16th Century

National Gallery of Art

This is a drawing of a figure on a horse followed by a person in a blindfolded state. The drawing shows a person atop a horse with flowing hair and an unclothed torso. The horse is decorated and stands on a slope. Below and slightly to the right of the horse, a blindfolded person in robes holds their hands in front of them. Above the mounted figure, there is an unfurling scroll with text, and another scroll near the standing person's feet with additional text. The lines and shading indicate a detailed image.
