The men are depicted wearing top hats, waistcoats, suspenders, and bow ties, in colors such as dark green, dark blue, red, yellow, and brown, with white shirts. The all have light skin. The men appear to be forming a long line that ends on the right on the porch of a large brown building. The men at the front of the line are all holding slips of paper, and a small blue sign hangs over the porch that reads "THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE THE SUPREME LAW." At the bottom of the print, two boys and a dog are on the dirt ground, and in the bottom left corner a seated man gets a drink from a man in an apron. In the background, there are trees, white buildings, and people on horseback under a partly cloudy blue sky.
