This is a photograph of a narrow alleyway with stone buildings on either side and a staircase leading up to a balcony. The alley is framed by tall stone structures with numerous windows. The wooden stairs on the right-hand side ascend steeply to a platform. Above the alley, laundry is strung across a clothesline. The ground is cobbled and slightly uneven. The photograph captures a scene with clouded skies visible between the buildings. The textures of the stone, wood, and rusticated surfaces contribute to a dramatic quality in the image.
