Behind the boy, a woman in a blue dress sits on a bench with three children around her. More adults sit on chairs at the edges of the scene and watch the children playing. The trees and foliage provide a vibrant green backdrop, and a yellow building is visible though the branches. The brushstrokes in the painting are thick and visible, especially those in the trees.
