The image is a winter landscape captured from a level point of view. The horizon is about one-third from the bottom of the image and shows snow-covered fields with buildings, including houses with sloping roofs and chimneys in the distance. A line of trees stretches across the horizon, with a prominent leafless tree on the right side. Closest to the viewer is an irregular wooden fence partially buried in snow. The image has a soft focus and a monochromatic color palette dominated by whites, grays, and browns.
