The image consists of 15 circular portraits arranged in a grid. Each portrait shows a person in profile view from the shoulders up, facing either left or right. The individuals have hairstyles typical of the late 18th to early 19th century, with various styles of neatly combed and powdered hair. The majority are Caucasian men wearing dark jackets and white cravats, with a few sporting decorative epaulettes. There is also one woman with an elegant updo and ornate dress. Each portrait is labeled with names like Bailey Bartlett, Capitaine White, and Madmoiselle Brumaud. The background is a simple brownish tone.
