This is a drawing of a gathering of figures. The scene depicts a group of figures dressed in flowing robes, most of which are concentrated around an infant held by an older figure. The infant is centrally positioned. Surrounding these primary figures are other individuals, some of whom have features resembling cherubic figures with wings. The figures are positioned within an architectural setting, indicated by the presence of a large column to the left and an arched opening in the background. The use of bold contour lines and shading gives depth and volume to the figures, while the subtle tones provide an ancient or classical feel to the scene.
