Beyond the centerpiece is a prominent ship docked at a quay, with other smaller boats visible. To the right, a long wooden staircase leads up from the shore, guiding the eye upwards towards structures that reside on a gentle incline. The artwork is rendered in a detailed etching, with fine, deliberate lines creating texture and depth. The color palette is monochromatic, consisting solely of shades of black on a cream background. Wispy clouds are etched into the sky, adding movement. Close to us, there are various nautical elements such as barrels and ropes.
