Pattered Side: wool, plain weave; fulled (gorofukuren); embroidered with silk and gold- and silver-leaf-over-lacquered-paper- strip wrapped cotton in cross, and single satin stitches; laidwork and paper padded couching; lined with silk, palin weave (possibly dyed with safflower (beni)); sewn with front and lining matched in size (Tackikiri awase); silk, running "controlling" stitches along all edges
