Jar: Black Ware. The jar has a wide body that is rounded and narrows to a small opening at the top. The body is primarily black with a glossy glaze that has blue and brown patches. The base of the jar appears to be unglazed and is a light brown color with darker brown cracks. The jar sits on a gray surface with a dark background that gets lighter toward the center. The jar casts a shadow to the left and right sides. The overall shape of the jar is bulbous with a short neck. The glaze on the jar appears uneven and handmade. The base of the jar is flat.
