Executioner's Sword

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Executioner's Sword displays a long, straight, gray-colored blade with a slight tapering towards the tip. The blade appears weathered with visible signs of aging or use. A gold-colored crossguard is present, featuring a slight curve downward at the ends. The handle is wrapped in a textured brown material. At the top of the handle is a gold-colored pommel, shaped like a sphere. The background transitions from dark at the top to light gray in the center, then back to dark at the bottom. The Executioner's Sword, also known as the Henry VIII sword.
