Two-Handed Sword

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Two-Handed Sword by Master Johann II. The sword has a long, slender blade that tapers to a point at the tip. The blade is straight and double-edged with a central fuller along its length. The hilt consists of a long grip with a cylindrical pommel at the top. The crossguard is straight with T-shaped quillons that are flat on top. The guard and pommel appear to be made of metal and have a darker coloration than the blade. The background of the image is a gradient that transitions from dark gray at the top to light gray at the center and back to dark gray at the bottom.
