Two-Hand Sword

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The sword "Two-Hand Sword" by an unknown artist depicts a long, straight sword with a tapered point. The blade is long and slender with a slight taper towards the tip. There are two quillons that extend out on either side of the blade, and they are straight. A long grip extends upward from the quillons, made of dark material, likely leather or wood, with a spherical pommel at the top. The entire sword appears to have some discoloration and wear on its surface.
